Yield: serves 3–4 (or makes a small batch)

Ingredients

  • MH12 Wheat Flour – 2 cups
  • 2 cups base ingredient (atta/besan/millet flour as applicable)
  • 3/4 cup sugar or jaggery (adjust)
  • 1/2 cup ghee
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 2 tbsp chopped nuts (optional)

Method

  1. Warm ghee in a heavy pan on low heat.
  2. Add the flour/base ingredient and roast on low heat until aromatic and evenly golden.
  3. Turn off the heat and let it cool slightly (warm, not hot).
  4. Mix in sugar/jaggery and cardamom. Adjust sweetness.
  5. Shape into ladoos / serve as halwa/sheera/porridge as applicable. Garnish with nuts.

Tip: Adjust chilli and salt to taste. For a richer finish, add a small knob of ghee before serving.
