Yield: serves 3–4 (or makes a small batch)
Ingredients
- MH12 Sorghum (Jowaar) Flour – 2 cups
- 2 cups base ingredient (atta/besan/millet flour as applicable)
- 3/4 cup sugar or jaggery (adjust)
- 1/2 cup ghee
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
- 2 tbsp chopped nuts (optional)
Method
- Warm ghee in a heavy pan on low heat.
- Add the flour/base ingredient and roast on low heat until aromatic and evenly golden.
- Turn off the heat and let it cool slightly (warm, not hot).
- Mix in sugar/jaggery and cardamom. Adjust sweetness.
- Shape into ladoos / serve as halwa/sheera/porridge as applicable. Garnish with nuts.
